American Residential Warranty Semi Annual Home Warranty Scholarship Official Rules
The winning essay will be judged on the following criteria: content, style, creativity, and how persuasively the applicant presents his or her point of view. All essays must be submitted by (to be determined), and the winner will be notified by (to be determined). One (1) winning essay will be selected by an American Residential Warranty Judge. The scholarship winner will be notified by email at the email address provided. If the winner cannot be contacted within 60 days or is disqualified, American Residential Warranty reserves the right to determine an alternate winner, in its sole discretion.
The applicant of the winning essay will receive a one-time scholarship of $1,000 which must be applied to the following school-related expenses: tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board. Funds must be used in the (to be determined) academic year. Scholarship funds are provided by American Residential Warranty and will be paid via mail to the winning applicant’s chosen school to be applied to their student account. The scholarship winner agrees to allow American Residential Warranty to post his/her name on any of American Residential Warranty’s affiliated websites for marketing or publicity purposes and waives any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use.
All entries must be entered through the official American Residential Warranty Semi Annual Home Warranty Scholarship submission form, which can be found at www.Americanresidentialwarranty.com/home-waranty-scholarship. No paper or hard copy submissions will be accepted. All essays must be written in English. The essay must be an original work. Plagiarism will result in disqualification. Submissions must be uploaded in either a Microsoft Word or PDF format. One entry per student. Personal information submitted will be used solely for the use of awarding the scholarship and will not be used for any other function on Americanresidentialwarranty.com. All entries become the property of American Residential Warranty. American Residential Warranty reserves the right to publish the submitted essays in their entirety or portions thereof on any of its websites or other media.
American Residential Warranty must receive a minimum of 100 applicants by the (to be determined) deadline or the scholarship will roll over to the next semester and the previous applicants who applied will already be submitted for the following scholarship. We will email the scholarship applicants if they won, didn’t win or if the scholarship rolled over.
Current American Residential Warranty employees or the immediate family of current American Residential Warranty employees are not eligible for entry. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Applicants must either be an incoming college freshman for the fall (year to be determined) academic semester or a current undergraduate or graduate student of any accredited two or four year college or university. American Residential Warranty does not use the information provided in the scholarship application to create listings.
For High School Seniors applying for a Fall Scholarship, as American Residential Warranty only awards scholarships to colleges and universities, please notify us regarding the school you are planning to attend by (to be determined).
